The CPSM Project

CPSM is a CORBA based System and Performance Management Framework. It consists currently of a Agent/Manager part as well as an Event Management package and a Common Object Repository.

The CPSM software is free open source software with a GNU license. See the files LICENSE.txt in each package.

CPSM provides a CORBA bases framework

Along with the framework, the following services are provided:

• Naming Service
a CORBA 2.4 compliant naming service.
• Event Service
a comprehensive event service for all CPSM components.
• Agent Works Service: a flexibel and extendable Agent factory. Each agent is divided into several sponsors, which can be dynamically loaded into the running agent. Each of this sponsor monitores a particular part of the underlying system.
• Event Management Service: a flexibel and extendable event management system. The Event management consists of an Event Manager, several input sources (syslogd, Win32 system log agent, etc.) and a console.
• Common Object Repository: the Common Object Repository contains all information about CPSM systems and monitored devices

We are working towards a more complete framework.
